I left Gaza for Italy due to an invitation to participate in the World Championship and represent Palestine. I was skating as a professional amateur. The World Championship organization contacted me to participate. I was supposed to get one of the winning positions, but I did not participate because of the war because my mind is scattered and I am always in a state of chaos and worried for the sake of my family and my family. Gaza, but my life is not life. I always think and do not sleep because of thinking about my family. I lost my father, but will the rest of my family live or be killed? I do not know my mind. I cannot control it, so my family must be taken out to get some comfort and safety. This is my picture when I am in Gaza. I hope you support me for the sake of my family. Viktor really woke up, asked for a divorce and became a god in the same episode and i'm here for it.
long story short (for anyone who hadn't heard of this before) the kids online safety act, aka kosa, is a bill that will censor online content and resources for lgbtq+ matters, reproductive healthcare, activism (INCLUDING PALESTINE AND LIKELY OTHER CRISES GOING ON LIKE IN CONGO OR SUDAN), mental health, etc. everywhere--its effects likely won't be contained to just america.
today, july 30th, 2024, the senate passed it 91-3. it has officially moved to the house of representatives.
is this a pretty massive setback? yes. do you have every right to be scared, sad, angry, or whatever else about this happening? absolutely. but should you give up hope completely? NO!
even though kosa passed the senate, the house is on break/august recess at the moment. we have around an entire month to get emails, calls, and faxes in to house reps, maybe more depending on when they decide to vote on it.
should it pass the house and get signed into law, we still have a whole 18 months before it actually goes into effect. this is plenty of time for digital rights orgs (e.g. fight for the future, the electronic frontier foundation) and other groups that oppose it to file a lawsuit against it. even if, worst-case scenario, it flies through the house immediately after the recess ends, we can still fight this up to march 2026.
so, yes, remember what's at stake here, but also remember that it's not over yet. we lost a battle, not the war.
below are some resources to learn more about kosa and how to contact your reps (first link) + a page that lets you directly contact progressive house reps, sign an open letter opposing the bill, and view others' testimonies against it (second link):
FIGHT. FIGHT. FIGHT.
Israel is also bombing Southern Lebanon
I completely forgot about this oc omg XD
This is Yuna Setsuko. She’s a teenage girl who goes to the same school as Yugi , and is the owner of a millennium item known as the millennium pendant.
Oh , the spirit ? She’s not a big deal…just the soul of a dead cultist who sacrificed themselves to Seth in exchange for the power to seek revenge on Yami Yugi and everything he loves.
Besides that , they’re a great duelist , and they specialize in dark spell casters.
Here’s the drawings without the background.
Basically, if you don’t know: The people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Or the DRC) has been suffering due to big tech companies like Apple, Alphabet Inc., Google, Dell, Microsoft and Tesla. They have been exploiting Congo’s land for their minerals like Diamonds, Gold, Copper, Cobalt, Tin, Tantalum and Lithium. These companies use these minerals to make phones, cars, computers and other technology.
The people of Congo are being treated like dirt, like they worth less than the colonizers stealing from them. The colonizers, which they call ‘Rebels’ have been r*ping, killing brutally, enslaving, and starving them. They are being kicked out of their land because these big tech companies want it. They’re being killed and r*ped because these big tech companies think they have the right.
This isn’t right!! So research what’s going on, tell others, spread awareness. Look up what companies are exploiting Congo and boycott. Don’t buy their stuff, keep using your phone or laptop until it’s broken and unusable.
We have reached our first goal thanks to your support!❤️
Thanks to your generosity and solidarity, we have started the winter with our first goal of raising $1,000 to provide blankets for me and my family and protect us from the cold. This is an important step for our family, and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported us at this crucial time. Words cannot express how important your support is to us during these difficult times. 🙏 However, our journey is not over yet. We now move on to our second goal, which aims to provide daily social expenses in light of the return of famine and the interruption and depletion of food supplies and to provide our children with basic needs such as milk, diapers and other things. Our children suffer from defects in baby milk and diapers and basic health problems. Living in tents with scarce resources and the spread of diseases, the situation is dire.
With the high cost of living in Gaza, securing these basic needs, in addition to coordinating travel, has become extremely challenging. The expenses associated with transportation and evacuation are overwhelming, and we need your continued support to help ensure our baby can escape these devastating conditions.
Our second goal is to raise $2,000 for :
Living expenses and daily expenses in light of the high prices and basic survival needs
Baby milk and diapers
Basic health care and providing them with protein
More warm clothes and supplies to protect them from disease
Important note: The price of a pack of diapers these days for a child is $85, as the child needs 3 packs per month due to unhealthy food and cold weather, and we have 4 children who need diapers, meaning we need approximately $1,000 per month for diapers.
Living in tents is exhausting and filled with daily challenges; we have no clean water, electricity, or proper medical care. Every day we struggle to survive amidst constant bombings and the dangers surrounding us. Your support gives us hope that we can provide a better life for our child.
