Has anyone played any of the Warrior Cats fangames out there?
I saw on Google that there's Untold Tales and Road to Immortality, amd apparently a few adaptations of the books into RPGmaker format.
Are any of them worth playing? Or does anyone have any recommendations for good Warrior Cats fangames? (Are there any official ones?)
I think where people flounder is when they misread Curlfeather's last scene to be a kind of disownment from Frostpaw ala the Patchkit AU MAP, and not as an indictment from Frostpaw of Curlfeather's actions up to that point.
Frostpaw is not saying— "You're a bad mom, and I don't love you,"
She's saying— "How could you do all this, that goes against the core values and morality of our society, turning Splashtail into a murderer, faking my dreams from StarClan, taking the life of your deputy, tearing RiverClan apart— How can you do that, and not acknowledge your wrongdoing?"
I mean, literally, look,
She doesn't want Curlfeather to leave. She loves Curlfeather, but also is filled with the weight of the betrayal and of her future burden— Rebuilding the home that Splashtail and Curlfeather had destroyed through their actions.
She still loves her Mom, guys.
I had to record this bank at such a high pitch to get this outcome. It was a nightmare. 🥺
You don't have to ship Raven x Barley but it is canon.
Whitethroat is the worst name in Arc 1.
Don't believe me?
Guess how many times -throat shows up again as a suffix in Warrior Cats after Whitethroat.
Guess.
Just saw a post on a confession blog that made me feel so validated about that post I made a day or so ago. Suddenly, my insecurities about how bad I am at writing are gone completely.
I feel totally vindicated. Like my post was worth it. What I wrote last night fucking sucked, so I deleted it (because I couldn't make it sound right), but I'm glad that at least something I wrote resonated with people and conveyed what I had to say.
I read through that confession, and I'm just like, 'This is a problem and I didn't blow it out of proportion.'
It's a good feeling.
I don't care for anyone on social media who compares their lives to others, unprompted, as some sort of 'gotcha' moment.
This is the Internet, if someone online says they are struggling, it is not for you to say otherwise. Have some courtesy.
If it were face-to-face, I guarantee your reaction would not be, "Well, I have it so much harder!" It is precisely because we are online that you can throw those opinions out there emboldened by being behind a screen.
Shame on you.
I never had an issue with 'age gaps' in Warriors because they're cats.
At no point in Warriors does anyone say, 'I think Onestar being mates with Whitetail is a symptom of a major issue in our society'.
—As it stands, the world building is that it's acceptable in their society.
The world building is that the cats are ok with it.
They are in no way analogous to real people unless you're looking to ignore the fact that the books are about cats and not people.
Ferncloud and Dustpelt, for instance, were thinking about being mates long before Fernpaw had even received her warrior name.
If you compare this to a human relationship, yes, that would absolutely not be ok. But, again, they're cats. They're not humans.
