Utau Voicebank - Blog Posts
I just learned that Nene's voicebank has no oto and somehow sings just fine. So, I put her raw samples onto a secondary track in audacity with my mic input on the first track and recorded while using her as a guide.
The bank is missing quite a few phonemes and is choppy because I left in all my mistakes and because I only recorded what was listed under the Monographs and Digraphs section of Hiragana for testing purposes.
Here's the finished result (my bank ALSO lacks an oto!)
Will be exciting when I finish the bank (and re-record all the ones I messed up on!) Anyway, just thought this might be a fun experiment.
UTAU fan artists, cover artists, original song makers, fanfiction writers, consumers / merch buyers, etc. typically consume or produce content (blog posts, fanfiction, music, art) about other people's UTAUloids, usually popular ones like Teto, Ritsu, Ruko, etc.

Bara furry UTAUloids are so iconic. Why does every single one have such a banger VB. It's literally crazy. I have never seen a bara furry UTAUloid with a bad voicebank. They are all so high quality.
I had to record this bank at such a high pitch to get this outcome. It was a nightmare. 🥺
I tried to recreate the sound of a 2010-ish UTAUloid! 🥰

Cmanflip, one of the most prominent VT fan-animators in the community, has made his very first utau voicebank... with a little help from yours truly, and he wanted me to advertise it to all of you on Tumblr!
He voiced the utau you see here, while I helped design and oto that same utau! Sure, his pronunciation isn't great, but all-in-all Cmanloid's a clear, easy-to-use and easy-to-comprehend voicebank, and I highly recommend him!
