whether it was intentional or not, I will always think about bart allen being coded as a neurodivergent foster kid. he’s “different” and “weird” and can’t focus on school, he doesn’t get people or their rules, very clearly ADHD, is constantly shuttled from home to home because nobody in his family really wants him or knows how to deal with him, he’s too much -

died He wasnt he literally is an audhd coded foster child he went from laboratory prisoner to iris to wally's to max's back to his mother's to max and helen's to the garricks' which he fully anticipated being temporary because he was so sure max was coming BACK then he moved again into the speed force then was on his own then came back begged and begged jenni to come back and live with him AGAIN anticipating that max was alive again jenni said no he went back alone then back to the garricks no max had an awkward time of it with barry being back and all the while he was mocked belittled insulted and treated like a fool by various people mostly wally THEN DIED AGAIN before coming back for Rebirth where he was homeless for a hot minute
