Color Palette Series day 10: Danny (Angels of Death/Satsuriku no Tenshi)
Help why did I immediately think Ray when I saw this-

Just recently played through Homicipher - it was a good game. The whole mechanic of slowly piecing together the language was really fun, and the characters are simple- but pretty cool and interesting for having dialogue hindered by a language barrier and seemingly broken speech even when largely deciphered. Mr. Gap is probably my favorite at the moment.
Though I think it says a lot about me that I immediately thought of Zack when I saw Mr. Machete- and the fact that I’m now rapidly thinking of crossover scenarios…
If they did meet- to Mr. Machete, Zack would just be a smol human, an oddly respectable one that can stab and yell funny. And Ray would just be an even smaller human. Really boring though. Shame the funny man doesn’t seem to let him stab her.
Mr Crawling would immediately make it his goal to make Ray genuinely smile/have fun as soon as he sees the dead corpse energy she exudes. But he quickly realizes that that might not be as daunting as as task he originally assumed to be as Ray is morbid as all hell, and all he needs to do is trail her for a bit before she sees something in this horrid haunted place that piques her interest and he encourages her to have fun with it. (Zack watches with a disgusted look in the corner as Ray teaches Mr. Crawling to sew dolls with her)
Of course Ray would be the one actively making an effort to understand the language - and Zack would probably reluctantly pick up a few words here and there if only from the fact that he’s forced to overhear Ray and Mr. Crawling chatting it up all the time.
Zack would hate Mr. Gap specifically with all his heart- I can feel it in my bones.

Ok, so, aparentlly, if you open the game on the RPG Maker program, like to translate or change something, you can see alternate conversations and rooms that were made, but never used in the came.
When Rachel and Zack are on the elevator heading to B1, this was an alternate conversation:

Satsuriku no Tenshi NG World: Horror House
Went ahead and did the horror house version of the site as well.
Gray is a vampire?!
There’s a mysterious haunted house that appears and reappears whenever it pleases. No one knows where it came from –
Within it are the six genuine “monsters” Gray the vampire has gathered.
They seem to have come from a far away town that no one knows about to attend the Nico Nico super convention.
And one day, they came to your city!
The Haunted House
A ghost that does not know whether or not she is alive. For some unknown reason, she’s a Japanese ghost.
A rude werewolf. Unexpectedly, a grown-ass man.
A sorrowful android bearing the burden of not knowing how it is to be loved. He has an eye obsession.
A pumpkin Jack-o’-Lantern. He has a face beneath his mask.
A monster cat who drives a motorcycle…Is she C**woman?!
A vampire who acts as the ringleader. He gives lonely monsters a place of their own.
Story
There’s a mysterious haunted house that appears and reappears whenever it pleases. No one knows where it came from –
Today as usual, the monsters worked hard to scare the humans who came visiting. After the show, a young boy approached them – “I want to become a monster.” How will the six monsters answer him?!

Rachel is a new cafe employee?!
In a certain city, there’s a cafe called aNGels of death. It has quite strange employees.
Rachel is a new recruit, having been brought in by Danny, the head waiter.
Will the “naive” Ray be able to properly perform her role at the cafe, working alongside the unique waitress and patisserie chef?

A rookie employee brought in by Danny. Has some things she is inefficient at.
Ray’s senior waiter who was appointed to show Ray the ropes. Popular with customers.
The head waiter. He appears to do his work perfectly, but…
A pastry chef whose work is like artistry. Handles the entire menu on his own.
A senior waitress. Extremely efficient, but has some problems with money…!
The cafe’s manager. Settles problems among his troublesome staff.
Story
In a certain city, there’s a cafe called aNGels of death. It has quite strange employees.
Every Christmas, the cafe is decorated, and is quite popular with customers. The employees wait eagerly to hear what Gray’s plans are this year – but due to problems with the budget, he says there are none!? Whilst everyone is in shock, the newbie Rachel comes up with a proposal…?
Part 1: Making a Gravestone
As I mentioned earlier, there will be spoilers! You can skip this if want to experience the game for yourself. Also, feel free to correct me for any mistakes.

The game starts off with Eddie and his brothers playing hide and seek in the cemetery. The brothers ask him why he doesn’t play hide and seek with them and he simply responds because he has the graves to take care of (what a hard worker he is!). One of the brothers tells him that maintenance is already over and Eddie is having none of it. To him graves come first.
After playful teasing and Eddie asking his brother who’s in the grave, the game takes us to our first save. For some reason it wouldn’t let me save the game, until I read the instructions that is (you have to copy the folder from the disc onto your desktop). The game at this point takes a more sinister/dark tone, the music is a bit creepy here with bird chirping in the background. Little brother tells Eddie that the girl in the grave is a child and that she’s very cute, about the same age as brother George (how many brothers does Eddie have?).
Then we are presented with choices (first decision making, folks). How do you want the grave to be? I chose small and wonderful since the girl is…well a child. Eddie seems to agree with my choice and is happy then proceeds to ask his brother why did the child die. Little brother tells him that she was found dead in the woods and probably fell off a cliff after chasing something, a cute animal maybe? She did love cute things after all according to him anyway.
Eddie and his family seem to be animal lovers and we are then presented with the second choice. He seems to want to decorate the gravestone in the shape of an animal. It gives you three options: Bear, Unicorn, and Wolf. I chose unicorn (don’t fight me on this, guys, it’s a little girl! xD)
They proceed to talk about what she was wearing. A dress with a heart decoration on it perhaps? But when her corpse was found, her whole body was covered in blood. Eddie says the burial dress is plain and he does not like her like that (Eddie why?!)
He wants to keep adding more to the grave. I think this is an option for the burial dress pattern. For this one I chose a flower. Eddie asks if that is too common/plain and little bro replies that it should be different (I went with the wrong answer.) The correct answer is the first option (a shooting star?) correct me if I’m wrong as I am a bit confused with this one.
And with that our unicorn gravestone is complete and little brother seems impressed and happy with it! Eddie replies that it is perfect for the little girl and hopes she will rest well in her new grave. I will end part 1 now. Eddie’s father will make an appearance in part 2.
Ok, since some people really liked that scene with Zack talking about how he met Gray (wich you can read here, if you haven’t yet), I decided to take more screenshots of scenes that Makoto Sanada never used in the game, but are in the project.
Some are silly, but whatever. This is only in episode 2. On episode 3 there wasn’t much. I only remember a weird room? Nothing important, really.
So, here we go.

Messing with files again, I found one thing really interesting thing on Episode 4.
Aparantly, the game had another ending??? Or was supposed to have multiple endings, maybe? Anyway, i found something really interesting, but had to delete that famale conselour of Rachel and find a way to get on the facility without replaying the hole thing.
After that, the normal ending scene starts tho… I really wanted to see an ending with Rachel going after Zack.

There's a extreme lack of au content and it is bad. I now know why people say this fandom is dead, au content is MANDATORY for fandom nourishment and I haven't seen any new aus for MONTHS.

A lil sad Ray
I tried to play around a bit with shading and stuff on this one- the opacity bar is actually so amazing
Some Shin art and rambling cause THE MAN NEEDS MORE APPRECIATION. Like- he only recently got a fandom page, I think???
In my opinion, the manga could've done a lot more with him too. Seriously, his corpse furniture shtick is pretty horrifying and everything, but imagine if he was a full blown scluptor. Making absolutely disgusting statues made of twisted and mutilated bodies and cheerfully calling it art. He could have also used all sorts of materials like burnt or decayed skin, or just something like Junji Ito vibes.
Though, I don't really wanna complain all too much- so here's some headcanons!
His floor is totally art-gallery themed. Like he uses that open space where Eddie later put his graveyard to present all his art like an actual display. (he's all about that PRESENTATION) Actually, this is probably, no, definitely canon, I'm sure of it.
His floor also has like, layers. You first see his furnitures, which would be incredibly off putting on it's own, but then you go deeper into the floor... and the "art" you find gets more and more grotesque and morbid.
He just has a bunch of instant ramen stuffed in his pantry. He does consider cooking art- but he's defnitely not that proficient at it. Plus, he uses most of his time making his sculptures, and forgets to properly eat a lot. (The ramen is the only thing he eats at this point)
He has a chainsaw. Why? Because he finds it the easiest way to sever body parts for whatever twisted thing he wants to make, and also because I like to imagine a cool standoff/fight with Zack and Shin in my head- and chainsaws would be incredibly cool with that
In an au where the killers aren't in that building- he'd totally take Eddie in. Like, I imagine Eddie ran away from home and Shin just agrees to let him stay at his apartment or whatever. Eddie would help Shin come up with sculpture ideas, and vice versa with Eddie's graves. Also, Eddie now only eats instant ramen like Shin does.
The twins names are Shinjitsu and Shintaro. I'm... not sure if they're even real names, but I call them that in my head and so it's canon to me.
If I met anybody remotely similar to Zack in real life, I’d probably never want to interact with them again. Like seriously- when you really think about it he’s incredibly annoying-
Stupidly stubborn, dumb to the point it’d be an pain to explain anything generally abstract or complex, (even if he found the patience to sit through something you’re trying to explain you can just tell he only caught like 20% of it) and refuses to take care of himself to the point it’s annoying for other people- like he must smell absolutely horrendous.
But we all love the man anyways
Imagine an Angels of Death and a Forest of Drizzling rain crossover- I think there's like one(?) official comic about that actually, but THAT ISN'T NEARLY ENOUGH.
Just like- Suga and Zack would totally hate each other guts. I can imagine some hilarious moments where Zack just yells at Suga for shoving memos in his face- and Suga has to resort to charades or something.
Shiori and Ray would literally be such a wholesome duo as well. Ray would also get along pretty nicely with Sakuma I think.
Ray would be an absolute pro at fishing because she just is, and Zack would just scare them all off.
